A few years ago, I had met a friend who had recently joined a startup. He was part of a team dedicated to developing a product, pouring his heart and soul into it as if it were his own baby. Intrigued by his passion, I asked him why he was so committed, considering he had the potential to be an entrepreneur himself. With a smile, he assured me that he was, in fact, no less than an entrepreneur. He believed that every product manager within an organization should possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

What struck me most during our conversation was when he said, “If every person approaches their work with a sense of ownership and pours their heart into it, you breathe life into what you do. And who knows when and how it could become someone’s lifeline?” Since joining Prakya, I’ve witnessed firsthand the truth behind his words. I’ve seen a technical application transform into a lifeline for a client. It’s remarkable how an intrapreneurial product manager can wield such power.

We often assume that an intrapreneur is a combination of “intra” and “entrepreneur,” someone who lacks the ability to become an entrepreneur due to limited budget or resources but can emulate an entrepreneurial mindset within a larger organization that provides all the necessary support.
